CellPoint and Norwegian Trygg Trafikk have launched a joint initiative for safer driving

CellPoint and Norwegian Trygg Trafikk have initiated a cooperative effort with a focus on safer
driving with an information campaign called “Mobile sense”. The Mobile sense campaign informs
about the use of hands free devices such as wireless headsets when driving. In Norway it is
forbidden to use a mobile phone while driving, unless such a handsfree device is used.

CellPoint’s Head of Communication, Geir Langeland says:”- Trygg Trafikk is a very important driving force
with the authorities and the business world when it comes to increasing the awareness of road safety.
Many motorists demonstrate a lack of common sense when hands free, such as Bluetooth® headsets, isn´t
used. CellPoint is now launching the campaign “Common Mobile Sense when driving” and is focusing on
safe driving. The experience from this Norwegian campaign will be used in other European countries.

The Head of Communication at Trygg Trafikk, Kristin Øyen points out:”- To Trygg Trafikk “Common Mobile
Sense when driving” is an information project and a part of Trygg Trafikk´s regular course of business.
The mobile phone steals concentration and reduces the driving capacity. When using hands free device the
distraction is less and this can lead to safer driving.
